It is this famous quote from the movie Apocalypse Now that gave us the idea to create this jacket "9th Airmobile".
The emblematic scene takes place on the beach of the Nùng River. After a heliborne assault carried out with the background of "Ride of the Valkyries", Lieutenant Colonel Bill KILGORE's men disembark in the middle of an incredible chaos under the fire of machine guns and mortars!
This apparent disorganization and the fierce resistance of the villagers finally got the better of the emblematic phlegm of Col. KILGORE who a few seconds before had asked the soldiers of his unit if they preferred to surf or fight.
A bit annoyed, and after tearing off his shirt in irritation at the impossibility for these men to surf quietly under the explosions at sea, KILGORE asked for air support from a Cesnna O-2 Skymaster in charge of marking the target for a patrol of 5 Northrop F-5 Freedom Fighters, which, in a perfect Hollywood passage, came to drop napalm on the beach to finish destroying the local resistance.
