Once upon a time...
Part of the famous 343rd Fighter Squadron of the 55th Fighter Group with its distinctive livery, the P51-D serial number 4415608 "Cape Cod Express" flown by Capt. Chester Coggeshall Jr, participated in the first hour of the D-Day landings on June 6, 1944 from their operational base at Wormingford (AAF-159), England, 1944.
Barnstormer offers here a polo inspired by the "Cape Cod Express" of the 343rd Fighter Squadron operating from an ALG (Advanced Landing Grounds-field aerodrome) in Normandy in the summer of 1944.
